Police REFUSE to give details after suspected terrorist found dead

Thames Valley Police (TVP) officers were called at around 7.10am yesterday (Wednesday, April 16) to the Nature Reserve off Mallards Way in Bicester.
This was following reports the body of a man, aged in his 30s, had been found in an area of land near Partridge Chase.
Police found a body at the scene and informed that the death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious and also revealed that an arrest was made on Tuesday.

A TVP spokesperson said: “Yesterday (April 15) officers from Counter-Terrorism Policing South East arrested the man on suspicion of possession of material useful for a terrorist purpose, in accordance with section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
“As is usual in these circumstances, TVP will make a mandatory referral to the IOPC due to the fact that there had been prior police contact with the man.
“Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation, we are not in a position to provide more details at this time.”

The Oxford Mail and Bicester Advertiser approached Thames Valley Police for further details such as if the deceased was from Bicester but the force refused to provide any information.
A spokesperson for TVP said: “We will not be providing anything further or additional to our statement yesterday.”
Previosly, the force spokesperson said: “A file will be prepared for the coroner.
“Formal identification has not yet taken place but the man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.”
